MESSAGE REGARDING INSTRUCTOR LED COURSES:
Training Update / May 5, 2021
PDS-0230/0235 Principles of Emergency Management/Emergency Planning was opened to learners who had their course cancelled in 2020. This course is now filled and will not be posted on the LMS.
MN-0950 Introduction to Emergency Management in Minnesota and PDS-0241 Decision Making and Problem Solving will be the next courses to be offered virtually. Learners who had these courses cancelled in 2020 will have priority over the open seats and if space permits, the course will be added to the LMS schedule and open to all learners.
G-0393 Hazard Mitigation for Emergency Managers has been delayed.
The Training Team anticipates posting additional VILT in the Learning Management System (LMS). Continue to check back.
HSEM continues to monitor guidance from the State of MN Department of Health and Center for Disease Control (CDC) as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. We appreciate your patience and we are looking forward to working with you in our new virtual classroom!
The LMS enable learners to view the requirements necessary to complete professional training (Learning Paths) available through HSEM. Once approved for an account in the LMS, learners will be able to request enrollment in Learning Paths and courses.
Training is a key component of the HSEM mission of Helping Minnesota prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. We intend to provide a seamless registration process, quality instruction, and meaningful emergency management courses.
The LMS Help button will provide detailed instructions to navigate the new system.
TECHNICAL NOTE: The recommended internet browser is Chrome. Internet Explorer is not compatible with the LMS.
CREATE YOUR LMS ACCOUNT
Please follow the instructions below to create an account in the LMS:
- Click on the "Register" button at the top of the page and follow the instructions to create a new account.
- All new accounts will be reviewed for approval by HSEM administration.
- A follow-up email will be sent indicating the status of account requests.
- All users should check junk email or SPAM folders if they do not receive a follow-up email.
- If email notification is not received within 2 business days, please contact LMS Technical Support.
